What are the warranties on equipment?

New Equipment (goods) Warranty:

  • All new equipment sold or rented by Premier Rentals is supported by the manufacturer's warranty (see table below).  There are two types of standard warranty:
    • Onsite warranty – generally applicable to items that weigh over 40 kilograms;
    • Return to manufacturer warranty – generally applicable to smaller bench top equipment under 40 kilograms.  Transport costs and arrangements associated with back to manufacturer warranties are the responsibility of the purchaser.

"Seconds" and "Ex-Rentals" Equipment (goods) Warranty (unless otherwise stated/described on website):

  • Seconds equipment sold is supplied with a 3 (three) months warranty from Premier Rentals.
  • Seconds equipment rented is covered for all maintenance and service required under the Rental Agreement as part of our “breakdown cover” which is standard with all rental agreements.

“Clearance” Equipment (goods) Warranty (unless otherwise stated/described on website):

  • Clearance equipment sold is supplied with a “Plug-In” only warranty.  “Plug-In” warranty means that the unit has been tested and is in working order at the time of sale.  No further warranty is provided.

Stock Availability?

  • Stock Availability is generally confirmed at time of placing an order via email or by telephone.
  • Stock quantities fluctuate daily.  You will be called in the event of any delay.
  • If an item is in stock, delivery should occur within 4-5 working days from date of receiving payment or Rental Agreement approval.

What if my goods are damaged?

  • If goods are received and are faulty in any way, other than from transport damage, you should notify Premier Rentals immediately by fax or email listing your contact name, address, phone and fax numbers, Premier Rentals invoice number, description and serial number of faulty equipment and details of the fault.
  • Ensure that you check all items for damage before signing for them.
  • Do not sign for and accept deliveries if the goods are obviously damaged in transit. Call Premier Rentals immediately to advise of damage.

Are the goods insured during delivery?

  • Insurance for goods in transit is not included in the purchase price.
  • If insurance is required by the purchaser it must be arranged by the purchaser either directly with the carrier or the purchaser’s insurance agent.

Can I cancel my order?

  • Orders may be cancelled on the following basis:
    • If the goods are stock items and the cancellation is received three (3) working days prior to the shipment of the goods
    • Special orders can only be cancelled if the manufacture of the order has not commenced.
    • A cancellation or re-stocking fee may apply, being a minimum of 20% of the purchase price (excluding GST)

Can I return my goods? 

  • All goods being returned require a Return Authorisation Number (RA#) provided by Premier Rentals, unless initial delivery not accepted
  • Goods returned for credit (other than damaged goods as listed above) will not be accepted unless prior arrangements have been made and a Return Authorisation number (RA#) is attached to returned goods. 
  • All returned non faulty goods are subject to a 20% restocking fee, and will only be accepted if returned in original condition, in original packaging with all original instruction booklets, warranty cards and documents. 
  • If the returned item has been used in any way it will be deemed to be second hand and therefore no credit will be issued.

Does Premier Rentals supply spare parts?

No, Premier Rentals only supplies new equipment, factory Seconds (economy) and clearance products. All are working products.

Deliveries:

How are goods delivered and what do I need to do?

Deliveries are made on the following basis:

  • Kerbside - All deliveries are made to kerbside (or dock) of delivery Address. The purchaser acknowledges that it is their responsibility to provide labour and equipment to unload and position the goods on site at the purchaser’s expense. 
  • Collection - The purchaser may arrange for collection of goods from Premier Rentals or their respective suppliers.
  • Own Shipping - The purchaser can request shipping with their own carrier at their expense. 
  • Freight and Transport costs, are additional to the purchase price of all items. See checkout (shopping cart) for freight costs.
  •  Insurance for goods in transit is not included in the purchase price.  If insurance is required by the purchaser, it must be arranged by the purchaser either directly with the carrier or the purchaser’s insurance agent. 
  • The purchase price does not include unpacking, placement or positioning of equipment or installation or connection to services or removal of rubbish and packing material.
  • All goods delivered are required to be signed for, to acknowledge delivery and that all equipment is in good working order.
